Since his own personal experience of being healed from a very aggressive terminal cancer, Peter has had a great burden to pray for other people who are suffering from cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. In this fiery sermon, he challenges the listener not to miss the right moment to act. Many Christians say to themselves, “I want to do something for the Lord, but when is the right time to get going?”
For example, in the story of Jonathan in 1 Samuel, Peter shows that we don’t have to wait for anything, but should rather step out in confidence for the Lord. Jonathan knew God and said, “For nothing restrains the LORD from saving by many or by few.” (1 Samuel 14:6) God simply expects us to trust Him – and in the example Peter uses of a trapeze artist – swing “into action”.
